Naming your year, such as "the year of the habit," can help when making and keeping New Year's resolutions, according to Vicki Davis, a teacher and information technology integrator from Camilla, Ga. In this blog post, Davis suggests that teachers name a goal and put it in writing. Other tips are to evaluate a goal, determine habits to help reach the goal and make a calendar of new habits.
