Mexico will launch mobile services in rural areas

Mexico's thousands of remote communities with no current mobile communications or banking services are the focus as the state-owned Telecomunicaciones de Mexico plans for rural mobile payments. The program will begin with a 30-community trial that will offer mobile telephony, with basic mobile banking to be added next.
