Most minority patients obtain care from nonwhite physicians

Research published in JAMA Internal Medicine found 54% of minority patients received care from nonwhite physicians, while 70% of non-English speaking patients obtained care from nonwhite physicians. Researchers also found minority, low-income, Medicaid and non-English speaking patients were more than five times as likely as whites to visit a nonwhite doctor.
