PureCircle's, Coca-Cola's Reb M gets FDA approval

Rebaudioside M, also known as Reb M and Reb X, developed by PureCircle in a five-year supply agreement with Coca-Cola, received FDA approval for use as a general sweetener in food and beverages. Reb M is closer to table sugar than previous iterations of stevia and allows for more calorie reduction, according to PureCircle. “Ongoing investment in supply chain assets and leaf development are in place to support the commercialization of Reb M," said Jason Hecker of PureCircle.
