Implantable device could help stroke patients walk more easily

British scientists have teamed up with Finetech Medical Ltd. and Dutch researchers to develop STIMuSTEP, an implantable device that could help improve the walking ability of patients with dropped foot. The device features an external transmitter and a foot switch.
