Legendary adman Philip Dusenberry dies at 71

BBDO veteran Philip B. Dusenberry, known for leading successful campaigns for PepsiCo, General Electric and Visa, died Saturday at the age of 71. In a 1986 interview with The New York Times, Dusenberry described his philosophy of advertising, saying: "I'm always going to be searching for emotion. In an age when most products aren't very different, the difference is often in the way people feel about the product." Dusenberry was inducted into the Advertising Hall of Fame in 2002 and into One Club's Creative Hall of Fame in October of this year.
