Iowa education department considers junk-food ban

Iowa school officials may ban soda and junk food from snack bars and vending machines next school year in an attempt to combat rising childhood obesity rates. But some schools fear the changes will cause lunch prices to go up as they lose revenue from students who go off-campus to avoid healthy options.
