Tennessee hospitals cut jobs to stem revenue loss

A Tennessee Hospital Association survey found 43 of 82 hospitals surveyed reported they had cut jobs because of the economic downturn. Some 85% have implemented or are considering a hiring freeze to help shore up finances because of increases in costs as well as charity care cases.
