Russia acts to avoid asteroid's collision with earth

The Russian space agency reports that it is working on a plan to divert the path of the asteroid Apophis from colliding with Earth, and it has invited space agencies in the U.S., Europe and China to join in the mission. One NASA scientist says the asteroid has only a one in 250,000 chance of hitting earth by the 2030s, however, and with more research, the probability of collision may drop to zero.
