Small-business owners hope for better times

Manhattan-based chocolatier Sarah Endline doubled her business this year by diversifying her product line, finding new customers in the airline industry and working hard to keep customers coming back. Entrepreneurs such as Endline are hopeful that 2010 will be better, says NFIB economist Holly Wade. "Small businesses are seeing glimmers of hope on the horizon, but it hasn't translated to more capital expenditure and hiring folks."
