Colorectal cancer screening rates meet goals

About 54% of Americans received recommended colorectal cancer screening between 1997 and 2010, exceeding the national "Healthy People 2010" initiative's goal of 50%, while screening for breast, cervical and prostate cancers fell short, researchers report. Cancer survivors and white-collar workers were more likely to get recommended screenings than other people.
