Illinois pension system faces massive funding shortfall

Illinois' pension system has a funding shortfall that is approaching $100 billion, making it one of the most severely underfunded systems in the U.S. If the state doesn't make changes, it will be spending more on pension payments than on schools by 2016, the governor's office says.
