Analysts: Enterprises boost security efforts in the cloud

Enterprises are shoring up security efforts in the cloud after revelations about surveillance by the federal government, analysts say. "There is a fundamental shift to a zero-trust model in the cloud," says Richard Stiennon of IT-Harvest. Businesses are highlighting four areas: enhanced transparency by the government, data encryption, ownership of data and regionalization.
