Videotaping educators while they are teaching in their classrooms could help them improve, according to one member of a panel conducting a review of school funding in Australia. Teachers can gain perspective on their skills by observing themselves later and with mentors and colleagues, Kathryn Greiner said. Meredith Peace, branch president with the Australian Education Union, said cameras would not be supported if they are used punitively.
