Study: Sleep-deprived nurses more likely to regret decisions

A study of 3,500 critical care nurses found that those who were tired or did not get enough sleep were more likely than a control group to regret some of their clinical decisions. "Registered nurses play a pivotal role as members of the health care team, but fatigued and sleep-deprived critical care nurses put their patients and themselves at serious risk," the authors wrote in the American Journal of Critical Care.
