Study: College costs affecting homeownership

An 81% increase in college tuition rates between 2003 and 2009 means that students in areas with high college graduation rates will most likely move in with their parents instead of living with friends, according to a study by the Federal Reserve Bank of New York. College costs and student debt are contributing to a decline in the number of younger people buying their own homes, researchers found.
