Penney's puts the focus on private labels for spring

J.C. Penney will promote the private-label lines that comprise about 60% of the department store's total sales in a spring campaign using the theme "style and value for all." Penney's familiar private labels may have an advantage as rivals including Amazon, Target and Walmart expand their own stables of store brands, Chief Marketing Officer Marci Grebstein said.
