Huawei is touting a Tokyo trial in which the Chinese telecom achieved 5G download speeds of 4.52 gigabits per second over about three-quarters of a mile using 28 GHz millimeter-wave wireless technology. Working with Japan's NTT Docomo, Huawei said it was confident of launching a commercial 5G rollout by 2020.
