San Antonio-based startup CytoBioScience signed a letter of intent to form a merger with Skyline Medical, an Eagan, Minn.-based medical device company that is traded on the Nasdaq market. The companies, which expect to complete the deal by Sept. 30, intend to determine if a byproduct of Skyline's work might benefit CytoBioscience's CytoPatch device for screening drug formulations, said CytoBioScience CEO Jim Garvin.
