A bill that would reauthorize user fee programs for medical devices, pharmaceuticals, generic drugs and biosimilars has cleared the House Energy and Commerce Committee in a 54-0 vote. Amendments to the bill, including provisions for risk-based classification of device accessories, medical device servicing and maintenance and streamlining requirements for imaging devices and contrast agents, have also been adopted by the panel.
