Takeda Pharmaceutical reached a research collaboration deal with BioSurfaces to develop medical devices for the treatment of gastrointestinal diseases by combining BioSurfaces' technique for creating nanomaterials from FDA-approved polymers for drug-delivery devices and medical implants with Takeda's gastroenterology experience. The companies did not disclose financial terms of the agreement.
