The Mayo Clinic and Minnesota-based medtech startup NeuroOne have entered into a relationship that includes an extensive research collaboration and an 11% ownership stake for Mayo in NeuroOne's reconfigured parent entity, according to SEC filings. Under the relationship, the clinic will fine-tune and further develop NeuroOne's implantable electrode technology for detecting and treating brain disorders and will receive approximately $92,000 in cash payment for research efforts, as well as royalty payment equal to a single-digit percentage of the startup's product sales.
