AliveCor will offer its Kardia Mobile device to patients of Prairie Cardiovascular starting in August under its partnership with the Springfield, Ill.-based cardiology group. The wireless device, which can connect to smartphones, allows for immediate transmission of one-lead, 30-second electrocardiograms to clinicians and helps determine the occurrence of atrial fibrillation and other heart-rhythm problems.
