The HAART 300 aortic annuloplasty device has been launched on a limited basis by Austin, Texas-based cardiovascular device developer BioStable Science & Engineering. The device, which was used for the first time at the West Virginia University Heart and Vascular Institute, is intended for restoring valve competence and preventing recurrent aortic regurgitation by replicating the aortic valve's anatomy and reshaping, resizing and stabilizing the aortic annulus.
