The acquisition of Medtronic's Patient Care, Deep Vein Thrombosis and Nutritional Insufficiency business, valued at $6.1 billion, has been completed by Cardinal Health. The company, which financed the transaction through a combination of borrowings under existing credit arrangements, $4.5 billion in new senior unsecured notes and existing cash, will integrate the business into its medical segment over the next 18 months.
