A financing round has brought in $3.1 million for Gel-e, an early-stage wound care company based in College Park, Md. Gel-e will use the proceeds for expanding its initial clearance from the FDA for products that manage bleeding wounds to a "broader hemostatic product line" that treats external wounds, the company said.
