The FDA granted GE Healthcare 510(k) clearance for its SIGNA Premier 3.0 Tesla MRI scanner, a wide-bore system produced through a four-year partnership among the company, the National Football League and several research institutions. The scanner comes with an adjustable 48-channel head coil, built-in HyperSense technology and machine-learning software and online cloud analytics tools for data processing and analysis.
