A round of Series B financing has brought in $4 million for Houston-based Saranas, which makes the sensor-enabled Early Bird Bleed Detection device for real-time detection of bleeding caused by accidental blood vessel rupture in cardiac procedures. The company plans to use the proceeds for final testing of the device, as well as to support a submission for FDA clearance later this year.
