A collaboration between 3D-printing platform think3D and medtech manufacturing park Andhra Pradesh MedTech Zone will build a $6 million 3D-printing center for medical devices in India as part of the government's Make in India initiative. The facility, which is expected to open by October 2018, will include an expert 3D design facility and a state of-art reverse engineering facility so "manufacturers can come to the facility with just an idea and leave with the finished prototype," said Raja Sekhar Upputuri, co-founder of think3D.
