Royal Philips has paid an undisclosed amount for CardioProlific, a US-based company that makes catheter-based thrombectomy technologies for peripheral vascular disease treatment, in a deal that is expected to expand Royal Philips' portfolio of image-guided therapy devices. Royal Philips has also divested its Sonalleve MR-HIFU business to Profound Medical for $6.3 million worth of shares under an agreement that represents a 22% premium on Profound's closing price on June 29.
