A 116-patient study presented at the European Stroke Organisation Conference showed use of iRhythm Technologies' Zio continuous ambulatory monitoring system was more efficient than Holter monitors in detecting arrhythmias. The Zio system, worn by patients for up to 14 days, demonstrated an approximately 16% rate of paroxysmal atrial fibrillation detection, compared with 2% from using Holter monitors, which were worn for 24 hours.
