Johnson & Johnson's Vision business has agreed to pay an undisclosed amount for North Carolina-based TearScience, which makes devices for the treatment of meibomian gland dysfunction. The acquisition, which is expected to be completed by year-end, will be done through J&J's recently acquired company, Abbott Medical Optics.
