Family donates DNA to help find the genetic link to Alzheimer's disease

Researchers at Emory University are searching for the genetic link that causes Alzheimer's disease to proliferate in one Georgia family, affecting 44% of family members who have one parent with Alzheimer's disease. About 250 family members have donated blood samples and taken cognitive tests to help the researchers, and they remain "amazingly engaged and interested in participating in research," study leader Allan Levey said.
