More than 700 patients and caregivers participated in a recent FasterCures Health Data Basics survey. Participants shared their perspectives on access, sharing and use of health data. Some findings that stand out from the data include variances in patient and caregiver trust toward third-party stewards of health data. The greatest number of patients trust health-care providers (26%), followed by universities (13%) and hospitals (12%).
