Food advertising targeted at children has decreased, but youngsters still see 10 to 11 food-related TV ads per day, most for unhealthy foods or beverages, according to a study presented at the American Public Health Association's annual meeting. Food and beverage manufacturers in 2007 pledged to reduce unhealthy product advertising to children under age 12, but researchers said most have not agreed to implement suggestions to improve the initiative.
