The air travel industry and the Transportation Security Administration are preparing to accommodate some 234 million passengers between June 1 and Aug. 31, or about 2.5 million travelers per day. Airlines have beefed up capacity on busy routes and the TSA has added 2,000 more officers and 50 more canine teams.
