Study: Open rates higher for emails to smaller lists

A study by GetResponse finds the open rate of emails sent to lists comprising between 1,000 and 2,499 subscribers is 31.19%, compared with an open rate of 8.15% for emails sent to lists with more than 1 million subscribers. The research found that the average open rate for triggered emails, which tend to be more personalized, is 56.67%.
