How to help prevent age discrimination in the workplace

As the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission brings fresh attention to age discrimination during the 50th anniversary of the Age Discrimination in Employment Act of 1967, HR should look for warning signs of ageism in the workplace, legal experts say. Check for a pattern of managers promoting only young employees, review the ages of those who have been fired and urge employees to report cases of age discrimination.
