The National Association of Broadcasters has released a documentary that sheds light on local broadcasters' roles as "first informers" in times of emergency. The documentary take a behind-the-scenes look at how Florida broadcasters provided critical information during Hurricane Irma, with WWSB reporter Jess Doudrick explaining, "As reporters, we were standing at the phone lines, and we were telling people, 'This is available if you need help and you don't know what to do.' "
