While the Federal Communications Commission is upholding its ruling limiting FM translator filings, the Media Bureau may be more flexible. It says it will continue with the four-step process, but Audio Division chief Peter Doyle said the office "will consider" hearing a broadcaster's case to file for a translator in more than one filing window.
