Amadeus exec claims private channels are simply alternatives

The private channels Sabre, Amadeus and Travelport have made available to agencies that have an agreement with the International Airline Group won't result in a divided agency community because they are just another option, according to Amadeus executive Decius Valmorbida. "[B]y opening up a number of technological alternatives and opening up many models in which agencies have access to content, that will provide a lot of flexibility for what is important for agencies, which is to give travelers choice," he said.
