The MSCI Emerging Markets Index has declined since March, with a particularly sharp fall since mid-June, when effects of the US-Chinese trade dispute began to register. The Trump administration is considering another round of tariffs, and exporters in Asian countries including South Korea and Thailand are seen as vulnerable because China is integral to their supply chain.
