President Donald Trump has announced he will nominate Charles Rettig, a tax attorney from California, to be commissioner of the Internal Revenue Service. Rettig has served as chairman of the IRS Advisory Council and for almost 20 years as a member of the Advisory Board of the California Franchise Tax Board, as well as in many other leadership positions in tax practice.
