Shale oil and gas production will increase dramatically to transform the US into a net exporter of fossil fuels by 2025, according to the International Energy Agency. US oil-production growth will match that of Saudi Arabia at the peak of expansion, the IEA says, and growth in natural gas production will top that of the former Soviet Union.
