HIMSS surveys health care organizations on cybersecurity practices

The 2017 HIMSS Cybersecurity Survey of 126 health care IT leaders showed that 71% have a specific budget for cybersecurity, while 8% have no cybersecurity funds allocated. Seventy-five percent of respondents reported having some kind of insider threat-management programs implemented within their organizations, 85% perform a risk assessment at least once a year and 87% conduct security awareness training classes for their employees at least annually.
