The US Preventive Services Task Force reiterated a 2012 recommendation that primary care providers discuss healthy eating and physical activity not only with patients at high risk for heart disease but with healthy patients, too. The recommendation, published in the Journal of the American Medical Association, "complements separate task force recommendations for people at increased risk, which recommend behavioral counseling for all high-risk patients," said USPSTF member Dr. Carol Mangione.
