The John S. and James L. Knight Foundation is launching an effort to reestablish public trust in the media and support the press. The plan includes an investment of more than $2 million in seven different projects focused on fact-checking, fighting fake news and building trust. It will be overseen by a diverse panel of 24 people from different parts of the US.
