EIA: US crude inventories shrink for 2nd straight week

US crude stockpiles slid by 1.4 million barrels last week, less than analyst expectations of a 2.3 million-barrel dip, according to the Energy Information Administration. Gasoline and distillate inventories were down by 3.8 million barrels and 100,000 barrels, respectively.
