Walmart this week announced it is raising wages and giving employees one-time bonuses, but the news wasn't all good for workers: Thousands lost their jobs when more than 60 Sam's Club stores were closed without notice, and Walmart plans to add cashierless checkout to 100 stores by month's end. Some Sam's Club locations will become fulfillment centers for online orders, CEO John Furner said.
