Rosatom subsidiary Akkuyu Nuclear will construct Turkey's first nuclear plant beginning in 2018, according to a statement by the Russian state-owned utility. When finished, the 4,800-megawatt plant will satisfy about 6% to 7% of Turkey's total electricity demand.
